New Living Community in Kennewick Offers Stress-Free Lifestyle for People 55+

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-  A new community opens up this weekend in Kennewick, but you're only welcome to stay if you're 55 or older.

Talk about a stress free lifestyle.  For those moving in to Affinity at Southridge really never have to leave.

Its amenities is what makes it a one of a kind in Kennewick.

After all, why would you leave if you lived in a place that had an indoor pool, yoga studio, theater, craft room, wood work shop, pub and the list goes on.

Affinity also gives residents the freedom to travel and only be responsible for one flat rent payment.

New Residents Craig and Cindy Pearsall says it will say them lots of money.  "When we started counting up the utilities we pay when we're not at home and we're traveling cross country, there's like five or six utilities by the time you take into consideration everything that needs to be continued to be paid for when we're not at home," said Pearsall.

Gil McCargo will be moving in as well and said, "you have just one certain amount that you're going to pay each month. It's never going to go up, it's not going down. It's steady regardless if you leave your air conditioner on all the time or you leave your heat on all the time."

Affinity at Southridge is not a retirement home or assisted living facility.  They say it is stress free living for people 55 and over.
