SLIDESHOW: Man Leads Police On High Speed Chase After Violating Restraining Order

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - A man is in custody after leading police on a wild chase throughout southeast and northeast Spokane, finally ending the pursuit near the Esmerelda Gold Course.

Early Friday morning police received a call from a woman in the 900 block of N. Napa saying that a man she had a restraining order against was sitting outside her house in his car.

When police arrived on scene and tried to make contact with the man, he sped off and a high speed chase ensued. The man raced onto the lower South Hill and then back north, missing spike strips in the process that police had set up on Freya.

He drove up onto Beacon Hill from Minnehaha and then crashed near the Esmerelda Golf Course where he was arrested. Several cars were damaged but there were no injuries.

Medics were called because he was in a state of "excited delirium." He is facing several charges.

SPOKANE, Wash. - One of the great parts about living in Spokane, is if you head out of town in any direction, you're going to run into some beautiful farm land. I grew up south of Spokane, near Plaza, and one of my favorite things to do was to sit on the porch at night and stare south towards Rosalia at all of the rolling hills of wheat, lentils, barley and peas. More >>

KHQ.COM - Shark Week has been trending on social media this week, and while humans go crazy for Shark Week, a recent trending video on YouTube shows exactly what Grouper fish think about sharks. What's a Grouper? They are apparently giant fish with stout bodies and large mouths. I'd never heard of them before, but after doing some research, I've likened them to the "pigs of the sea."More >>
