YAKIMA, Wash.-- One of the oldest wineries in Downtown Yakima is expanding.
The general manager of Kana Winery said they're adding a commercial kitchen and small banquet room. They're also extending the bar and seating area to accommodate more customers for their live music events.
Staff members said it's an exciting time to expand, especially with all the other improvements around downtown.
"Yakima itself and downtown is truly a wine destination spot," said Katherine Goodson, the General Manager of Kana Winery. "So this is something that we've really been looking forward to for the past nine years, and we're here."
Goodson said they hope to break ground during the next two weeks.
Kana Winery is located downtown near the corner of Second Street and Yakima Avenue.
