Powerball: How Would You Spend it?

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.- Your chances of winning the largest ever Powerball drawing were terribly low. But we wanted to find out how some people in the Tri-Cities would spend all of that dough.

As of the publishing of this story we still don't know who's taking home over $550 million in Powerball winnings. What we do know is that the winning ticket was sold at a Publix Super Market in suburban Zephyhills, Florida. So no one from the Tri-Cities will be cashing in the big ticket, but this is the highest grossing single ticket win in Powerball history. We decided to take a quick poll. With the unimaginable amount of money in hand, how would some locals spend it?

"You know, live out your fantasies," said Jeremiah Jones. "Buy a couple things here and there, nothing too extravagant. Definitely buy a house on the water though. Right here in the Tri-Cities...I'd stay here."

Our Facebook friend Rosmee Sandberg said  "After taking care of my family I would build some new schools in town."

"I would move to Cali and start a store for needy people and foster kids," said Patricia Munholand.

So overall, it seems like we have some pretty charitable viewers out there. If you know how you'd spend the money, leave a comment below or post it to our Facebook page.
