PASCO, Wash. -- Traffic is moving again across the Blue Bridge, as a man who threatened to jump off the bridge, has been talked down.

Kennewick Police say a man climbed to the top of the Blue Bridge near the flag pole Monday night.

Columbia Basin Dive Search & Rescue were stationed in the river, just in case the man jumped.

Pasco Police say a fire truck ladder was used in the rescue attempt. After about 20 minutes, the man was able to be talked down off the bridge.

Once the man reached the ground, Pasco Police took him to get evaluated by mental health officials, but he was not booked into jail at this time.

Pasco Police are handling the case.
