Stuart Will Testify, Daughter Might

PASCO, Wash. - The Franklin County prosecutor won't rule out the possibility of calling a nine-year-old girl to testify against her mother.

Pasco police arrested Tashia Stuart two years ago. Her defense team says Stuart will take the stand and tell jurors she shot her adoptive mother in self-defense.

If Stuart testifies, prosecutor Shawn Sant says he might have to call Stuart's young daughter to the stand to rebut her mother's story.

But Sant says at this point he doesn't plan to call the girl to the stand.

Stuart is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Attorneys start picking the jury next week.
