UPDATE: Spokane Police Find Missing 13 Year-Old

UPDATE: Authorities tell KHQ that the missing girl has been found and is safe.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police Department needs your help in locating a missing 13 year-old girl. Janna Smith was last seen at her residence at 2600 E 38th this afternoon around 4:30pm. She is described as a Pacific Islander, 5'1", 120 lbs, wears glasses, shoulder-length black hair, possibly wearing a Bloomsday t-shirt. She functions at the 8-9 year old level. If you have any idea where she is, please call 911.

    PHILADELPHIA (AP) - One woman is in custody for placing an explosive device into an ATM inside a Philadelphia business during an unsuccessful robbery attempt.    Authorities say the explosion occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday inside a beer distributorship.    They say video shows a woman placing the device into the ATM. She was accompanied by a man who isn't seen on the video.

(AP) - An upstate New York man trying to jump-start his car was greeted by an unusual sound coming from his engine - the rattle of a venomous timber rattlesnake.    The man says the snake slithered across the engine block and curled up on the battery as he opened the hood of the car earlier this month in rural Hancock, on the Pennsylvania border about 115 miles northwest of New York City.
