Police Arrest Previously Convicted Man for Another Drive-By Shooting

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. - A man who police say is a known gang member is now back in jail in connection with another drive-by shooting.

Police say 19-year-old Damian Iniguez shot at four family members in Yakima on Monday. Officers say he had exchanged words with family members as they left a market, followed them, and then fired shots as they pulled into their home on MacLaren Street that night.

Officers say the family members don't have ties to street gangs. They were shaken in the incident, but unhurt.

Police in Wapato arrested Iniguez on Wednesday at a home on North Camas Road, and booked him into the Yakima County Jail.

Officers say he was previously sentenced to more than a year in prison for a drive-by shooting conviction in Yakima back in 2010.
