Kennewick Gas Station Offering Special Treat for Graduates

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Graduating seniors in Kennewick got free slurpees Thursday at the 7-Eleven on Clearwater.

Workers gave out hundreds of 22 oz. slurpees between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At times there were so many kids, the line filled up the store.

"They come in all happy, you know, they enjoy being congratulated with a free slurpee instead of paying.  We show people that we're helping out the seniors and congratulating them for graduating, we're thinking maybe other people will start doing it and helping out the seniors," said 7-Eleven Sales Associate, Josh Kion.

This is the fifth year the Clearwater 7-Eleven has offered free slurpees to Kennewick graduates.
