Yakima Firefighters Blame Arson for Empty House Fires

Posted: Updated:

WHITE SWAN, Wash. - Yakima County Firefighters say they're investigating two cases of arson at empty homes in White Swan.

Firefighters responded to two fires over the course of a week, at homes firefighters say had been unoccupied for a while, both with disconnected electrical service.

The first fire on the 5500 block of Wesly Road, broke out on May 18th around 8 AM. The second, on the 3100 block of Hawk road, broke out on May 23rd around 3 AM.

Firefighters say by the time crews arrived at both fires, the structures had already collapsed and were completely destroyed.

Since they were empty however, nobody got hurt.

Investigators say they don't have any suspects at this time, but they say both fires seem to be the result of arson.
