HERMISTON, Ore. - Two women are in the Umatilla County Jail accused of producing and passing out counterfeit payroll checks.

Officers arrested 19-year-old Brianna Rocha and 22-year-old Alexandrea Rogers, both from Hermiston,  Thursday during a search warrant.

Prosecutors charged the two women with two counts of first-degree forgery, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, first-degree theft. They also charged Rocha with unlawful possession of meth.

Officers say this is an ongoing investigation because other communities have most likely been impacted by the bogus checks. They are warning anyone cashing a check from Becker Construction, USA Subs & Grill, and Bealls with the names of Brianna Rocha and Alexandrea Rogers.
