CV Softball Ousted From 4A Tournament, U-HI Playing For Third

Central Valley's season came to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 5-1 loss to Tahoma in the 4A state softball tournament. The Bears finish the season 19-6.

Central Valley had won its first game of the tournament, 8-5 over Olympia, but dropped a 5-3 contest to Camas. In Friday's nightcap, Central Valley topped South Kitsap 8-2 to keep third-place hopes alive.

After winning twice on the first day of the tournament, University dropped its first contest of the day on Saturday, 10-9 to Prairie.

After beating Bainbridge 8-0 in its second game on Saturday, University faces Meadowdale for the third-place trophy.

 

Friday, May 24

The University softball team won twice on the first day of the 3A state tournament to advance to the semifinals. The Titans will play Prairie on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. If they advance, they will play the winner of Kamiakan-Meadowdale for the state title.

The Central Valley softball team won its first game of the 4A state tournament, but dropped a 5-3 game to Camas on Friday afternoon. Central Valley is currently playing South Kitsap in a loser out game.
