Saturday Market in Terrace Heights

Posted: Updated:

TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash.--Some people in Terrace Heights have decided they want their own community market, and they want you to be a part of it.

Organizers said they have room for at least 30 more vendors. This is in the parking lot of North Hope Community Church.

A booth is just $20 a week and part of the fee is given to non-profits in the Terrace Heights area.

"My wife and I thought that Terrace Heights needed something," said Hunter Cates, the owner of Hunter Cove Nursery. "There was never a market out here. You have a market downtown, it's on Sunday. We can never make it to a Sunday market so we started a Saturday market."

This is the second year for the Saturday market, and it'll last until late September.

Coordinators said their goal is to eventually fill up the church parking lot and make it an even bigger event.
