YAKIMA, Wash.-- VFW Post 379 held its annual Memorial Day Observance Monday in Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.

About a hundred people showed up for the ceremony in front of the war memorial.

Organizations including the American Legion, Combat Veteran's United, and Disabled American Veterans brought wreaths and flowers.

Veterans we talked to say they're honored to have a chance every year to celebrate their fallen comrades.

"This is about my 25th. I come to every one of them. They move me greatly," says Vietnam Veteran Bob Bradford.

"It's good that we have situations like this and celebrations where we remember," said Pearl Harbor Survivor Carl Dry.

The ceremony also included a 21-gun salute as well as a speech from City Councilman and Vietnam Veteran Bill Lover.
