Yakima Non-Profit Receives Grant

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, Wash.--A Yakima non-profit that helps people with disabilities adjust to their communities is getting a big grant.

EnTrust Community Services received more than $13,000 from a marketing agency to create an outreach campaign.

The Development Director said they'll use the money to host seminars and educational fairs, allowing people to see what types of services they qualify for.

"More specifically with young adults there really isn't much out there in terms of information and access to the supports and services that they might need," said Mark James the Development Director for EnTrust Community Services. "We would like to develop a strategy to help reach out to their families."

Last year, EnTrust helped 500 families with disabilities and found jobs for 42 community members.
