SPOKANE, Wash – Two more businesses were robbed at gunpoint in the Spokane area Monday night, now bringing the total number in the last two weeks up to 11.  They are convenience stores, pizza shops, gas stations, and marijuana shops; and employees say they have to stop.More >>

SPOKANE, Wash – In the last two weeks, eleven Spokane-area businesses have been robbed at gunpoint, and now the stakes are higher than ever to catch the culprits.

The most recent two happened within a span of four hours on Monday night.  A man armed with a gun robbed the Herbal Connection in Spokane's Garland district around 6:00 p.m., and then just before 10:00 p.m., two armed men stormed into Puffin Glass in Spokane Valley with guns, then tied up the clerk with duct tape before leaving with cash.

Police say they have gotten some tips, but they're always looking for more.  They believe the robberies are related because the suspects always have a gun, cover their faces with a mask or bandana, and have similar styles.

Detectives from Spokane Police and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are now working together to try and crack the case.

"To have so many [armed robberies] in two weeks is rare," said Deputy Craig Chamberlin.  "They're not just happening out in the Valley or the North Side or the South Hill, they're happening all over the place."

Spokane Police are reviewing surveillance, interviewing witnesses, and tell KHQ's Kelsey Watts it is ‘turning over every stone.'

Because of this recent spree, it held a crime analysis meeting Tuesday afternoon to look at where these businesses have been hit, suspect descriptions and any similarities in the cases so they can put their resources in the ‘hot spots' where they're needed most.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the suspect(s).
