Disguise Doesn't Fool Police, Pasco Woman Arrested for Hit and Run

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police say a woman who tried to disguise herself after a hit and run crash now faces felony charges.

Officers say 21-year-old Brittany Jo Morris Neiss of Pasco crashed a green Jetta into a black Nissan at Kennewick Avenue and Fruitland Street and ran from the scene.

People who witnessed the crash were able to identify her, and give her name to police. Police say the impact knock the black car onto its side.

The driver, 36-year-old Marisela Valencia was okay, but paramedics took the passenger, 76-year-old Sophia Flores to the hospital where she was treated and released.

When the Kennewick Police Criminal Apprehension Team later found Morris Neiss, officers say she had dyed her hair pink and changed her clothes. Police say it was obvious she had hastily just done the dye job, as she still had pink dye on her forehead.

Police also say the car Morris Neiss had been driving wasn't registered in her name. Officers say they aren't sure if the car had been stolen or not, but they don't believe it belonged to her.

Police arrested and booked her into the Benton County Jail for outstanding warrants and for a felony hit and run with injuries.
