KHQ.COM - On 05-23-13 around 11:45 pm Spokane Police responded to an armed robbery at the Zip Trip at 1023 W Wellesley. The suspect robbed the business at gunpoint and fled the location on foot. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a distinctive tattoo of writing on the left side his neck.

When officers spoke with the individual, Jesse Luna, they recognized the distinctive neck tattoo as part of the person of interest description in the Zip Trip robbery. Detectives investigated further and were able to develop probable cause to arrest Luna.

He was cleared by medical staff Tuesday and booked into jail for 1st Degree Robbery. Luna has an extensive history including 18 felony convictions. The investigation into a connection between this robbery and others within the city and county is ongoing.
