KENNEWICK, Wash. -Can you name a fruit or vegetable that starts with the letter "Q?"

You'll find the answer at the A to Z Salad Bar.

Its part of the Kennewick School District's Farm to Market Event, where kids learn about good nutrition, health, and fitness.

The students at Cottonwood Elementary School Thursday learned the right way to wash their hands, how to make nutritious after-school treats, and they perused the salad bar featuring fruits and veggies A to Z.

"The Farm to Market helps kids see there's a lot of variety of fruits and vegetables they've never heard about before," says Sam Shick, director of Nutrition Services at the Kennewick School District. "All they have to do is try them, and they might think, ‘Wow, this is really good.'"

Shick concedes they had to get creative when they got to Q at the salad bar. They came up with Queen Anne Cherries.
