WSP Trooper Killed in Collision with Truck Near Conway
CONWAY, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol says a troopers was killed Friday evening after his motorcycle collided with a box truck.
WSP said 38-year-old Trooper Sean O'Connell was on duty on his motorcycle when he was struck by a box truck at the intersection of Fir Island around 5:45 p.m. The trooper was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital where he later died.
O'Connell was a 16-year veteran of the Washington State Patrol.
WSP said the driver who hit the trooper was from Mount Vernon and was cooperating with their investigation.
