HOUSTON, Texas - It's the single worst loss of life for the 118-year-old Houston Fire Department.
Houston's fire chief says the four firefighters died fighting a motel fire Friday.
The firefighters were looking for people they thought were still trapped in the burning building when the roof collapsed. The fire chief says everyone inside the building has since been accounted for. Mayor Annise Parker says that of five other firefighters injured, one was in critical condition in an intensive care burn unit.
