Lincoln Heights Subway Robbed At Knife Point

KHQ.COM - Spokane Police officers are searching for a man that robbed a Subway restaurant on the south hill. 

It happened just after 10pm Friday night.

The robber entered the store armed with a knife demanded money and then ran off. He was able to get away with an unknown amount of cash. 

Spokane police set up a perimeter and called in a K-9 unit as well as the Spokane County Sheriff's Office helicopter Air One to help track the robber. 

So far they have been unsuccessful.

Officers are in the process of interviewing witnesses.

The robber is described as a white man, 5'10" wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. He has brown eyes and had a ski mask covering his face.

    WASHINGTON (AP) - A man looking for a dropped cellphone ended up in a stinky situation, tumbling into a building's trash chute where he had to be rescued. Washington, D.C., Fire Spokesman Vito Maggiolo says the man was throwing out trash at an apartment building when he thought he dropped the cellphone in the chute. Maggiolo says the man leaned in to check and fell inside.
