Kids and Adults Mix Friendly Competition with Exercise

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.--Kids and adults got their heart rates up Saturday competing in all kinds of races.

It's the 29th Annual "Gap2Gap" relay race where people do everything from kayaking and biking to running.

The event is organized by the Yakima Greenway and all of the money raised from Saturdays activities go straight right back to the foundation.

Kids said they enjoy being active with their friends and a little friendly competition never hurt.

"It's a great race and you get to hang out with your friends and race your friends sometimes," said Noah Stucki.

"I thought it was fun because you get to hang out with your friends while you're competing," said Dalton Needham.

The results from the races are already up online. You can find them on the Yakima Greenway's website.
