SLIDESHOW: Pursuit Ends When Car Crashes Into House

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - A pursuit in Spokane Valley ended Saturday night when the driver crashed into a house. 

Deputies say they tried to stop a car Saturday night when the driver took off at a high rate of speed. During the pursuit the suspect caused a crash near Sprague and Freya that ended with a pickup truck on its side in a restaurant parking lot. 

A short time later during the pursuit the suspect lost control of the car and crashed into a house at 3rd and Chronicle. Deputies were able to take an occupant of the car into custody. He was injured during the crash and is being treated at a medical facility. He has not been identified.

We are still awaiting more details on this pursuit and will update this story as soon as they become available.

    HARRISBURG, Pa. - The mayor of Harrisburg says a U.S. marshal is dead after being shot while serving an arrest warrant in Pennsylvania's capital city. Mayor Eric Papenfuse says two other officers were wounded in the Thursday morning shooting, including one from Harrisburg. The York City Police Department says one of its officers had non-life threatening injuries.

    BOISE, Idaho - Education officials say thousands of science, technology, engineering and math jobs are going unfilled each year in Idaho due to a lack of skilled workers. The Lewiston Tribune reports that education officials told the state Legislature's joint budget committee last week that 7,000 STEM jobs went unfilled in Idaho last year - double the number from the prior year.
