New Bronze Statues Unveiled in Downtown Pendleton

PENDLETON, Ore., - The city of Pendleton celebrated its tribal heritage over the weekend with the unveiling of American Indian public art.
    
Two bronze statues were unveiled, one of Esther Motanic - the first Round-Up Indian queen - and the other of Jackson Sundown - the 1916 Round-Up all-around champion.

The statues are on display at downtown entryways.
