More Rock Blasting this Week on Snoqualmie Pass

Posted: Updated:

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash.-- The Washington State Department of Transportation is once again warning drivers about some rock blasting related to the Snoqualmie expansion.

Workers are on schedule to complete the first three miles of the project by fall, which will widen the roadway from four lanes to six.

Right now, they're rock blasting near the snow shed that protects the road from avalanches.

A pair of bridges will replace that snow shed by 2017.

The DOT will blast every night at 7:30 Monday through Thursday. They expect to have a delay of at least two hours on Wednesday.
