Fever finding other incentives with no playoff hopes

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Two games left for the Tri-Cities Fever. No more than that. No return to the United Bowl. No return to the playoffs, just this Saturday at home against the Wyoming Cavalry and next Saturday on the road against the Nebraska Danger. Some players could just lay down and coast along but not the fever. Tri-Cities shows it still has a lot to play for.

"It's a pride thing now, so we're not just going to go out there and say, 'okay we're out of the season.' I think some players still want to try to move up and get good film and do things like that. So I don't think they'll go out there and think this is nothing," defensive back Lionell Singleton said.

"We're playing for pride and for what we believe and the game we love. We go out there and we play as if we still have a shot," defensive back Brandon Wilson added.
