Brush Fire Burns Over an Acre of Land Along Highway Near Pasco

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco firefighters say a brush fire scorched an area near the on-ramp from Broadmoor Blvd. to Interstate 182.

The fire was contained to about an acre and a half area and burned cheat grass and sage brush.

Units from Franklin County 3 and Pasco responded with a grass truck and a water tender.

Firefighters believe the fire may have been caused by someone throwing something out their car window.

There were no injuries, but firefighters ask drivers to pay attention to the road when they are driving instead of their cell phones.
