Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - The Pasco School District says three schools will have new principals starting in July, but they're not new faces.

John Wallwork will replace Teri Kessie as the principal at Chiawana High School. Kessie is accepting a new position at ESD 123. Wallwork has been the principal at McLoughlin Middle School since 2011. Before that, he spent three years as an assistant principal at Pasco High School. He has been a middle school athletic director, middle and high school social studies and history teacher, and ESL teacher/coordinator in Shelton, WA.

Dominique Dennis will replacing Wallwork as principal of McLoughlin Middle School. Dennis is currently the principal at Robert Frost Elementary, and served as the assistant principal for the 2009-2010 school year. She previously worked as an assistant principal for the University Place School District for three years, and taught various grade levels before that.

Nora Phongsa will replace Dennis as the principal at Robert Frost Elementary. She's currently the assistant principal for both Frost and Whittier elementary schools. Last year, she served as assistant principal/facilitator at Whittier and was a facilitator at Frost before that. Phongsa began her career as a first grade bilingual teacher at Frost in 1995 and later taught at Longfellow, Emerson, and Angelou elementary schools.
