Teen Could be Tried As An Adult in Murder Case

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.-- A Yakima County judge is deciding whether a 16-year-old boy accused of murder will be tried as an adult.

Police say the boy, who was 15 at the time of the crime, shot a rival gang member to death near the Yakima Transit Center last October.

A juvenile probation officer recommended the case be moved to superior court, but the boy's attorney disagrees.

The judge will have the final say.
