Sweets drops season opener to Elks, 4-1

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The first week of June means opening night for the Walla Walla Sweets. A quick turnaround for the players from first practice to first game Wednesday at Borleske Stadium. The Sweets lose to the Bend Elks, 4-1. 

Jonathan Harris started on the mound for the Sweets, pitching four innings, five strike outs and two earned runs. John Skrbec had the only RBI for Walla Walla, with a ground out, scoring Jarod Gonzalez.
