Police Describe Scene to Jurors in Pasco Murder Trial

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - Police officers are telling jurors in a murder trial what they saw when they pulled up to a house March 3, 2011, where a woman had been shot to death.

One officer says he escorted Tashia Stuart and her seven-year-old daughter to a patrol car.

Meanwhile, officer Dean Perry says he pulled his service revolver and started searching the home on Salmon Drive.

"In the hall I could see part of the lower torso, the lower legs of a person lying on the ground, I could see a revolver with the hammer still back and tissue and blood splatter all down the wall."

Police officers showed jurors the pictures they took of the scene, including the hatchet Stuart claims Judy Hebert used to threaten her.

Prosecutors say Stuart murdered her mother for her inheritance.
