PENDLETON, Ore. - A man convicted of sexually abusing two girls for more than a decade will spend the rest of his life in prison.

On Tuesday, a Umatilla County judge sentenced 43-year-old Russel Baughman of Warrenton, to almost 33 years in prison on 40 counts including first degree unlawful sexual penetration, third degree sodomy and third degree rape. The Umatilla County District Attorney says Baughman sexually abused one girl from 1998 to 2004 and the other girl from 2003 to 2007, both in Umatilla County.

The 33-year prison sentence will be served consecutively after a 37-year prison sentence out of Clatsop County. In 2012, a Clatsop County judge found Baughman guilty of crimes including first degree unlawful sexual penetration, first degree sexual abuse and third degree sodomy. Baughman continued to sexually abuse one of the victims in Clatsop County from 2007 to 2010.

Baughman will serve a total of 845 months in prison, or over 70 years, with no possibility of early release.
