KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A Tri-Cities man is reaching the end of his cross-country bike ride to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project.

Alex LaVoie stopped in Kennewick Thursday on the last leg of his trip from St. Augustine, Florida to Seattle.

So far, he's raised over $20,000 for the Wounded Warriors Project that helps injured soldiers returning from war.

"The prosthetics they get for the wounded warriors are very expensive. This is what these funds are for. You just don't think of the big number. You just do 50 or 60 miles a day and it's amazing how quickly it'll add up," said LaVoie.

LaVoie plans to finish his ride on June 22nd.

If you'd like to donate, you can visit his website.

Also, on Saturday June 8th he is have a benefit BBQ at Moon River RV Park in Richland from 1-4pm.
