KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick police are trying to figure out who is behind several daytime burglaries at two Kennewick homes.

Officers say on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m., a suspect climbed through a bathroom window of a home along the 600 blk of S Buchanan. They say tools, a cell phone, a lap top computer, a video camera, and a Marc Echo watch were stolen.

Witnesses told police they saw a black man who appeared to be in his mid 30's walking away from the area. He was wearing a black beanie and carrying a laptop bag.

Officers say on Thursday around noon, two kids got home from school and found their house's front door, along the 400 blk of N Quebec, forced open. Witnesses again told officers they had seen a black man leaving the area, wearing a black beanie and carrying a laptop bag.

Kennewick police are reminding people to lock their doors and call 911 immediately if they notice anything suspicious.

Anyone with information about these two burglaries is asked to call Kennewick police.
