KENNEWICK, Wash.- Some fairly fancy cars are lining the Columbia River. As part of Make A Wish week, this is Corvettes on the Columbia weekend.
McCurley Integrity Dealerships and the 3 Rivers Corvette Club sponsored the event. More than 200 Corvettes were estimated to have been on display and various groups helped collect funds to benefit the make a wish foundation.
"It's helping people who don't get to be normal who have to practically spend their lives in a hospital," said Kevin Tsuchida, a Make A Wish kid who now volunteers for the foundation.
"Thank you to everybody who participated," said Leslie Woodfill, the Regional Co-Director from Make A Wish. "It's amazing and there's a lot of kids that are going to be really happy."
For every car that McCurley sold in the past month they donated $50 to the foundation those funds alone will help grant seven wishes locally.
