YAKIMA, Wash.--A busy stretch of River Road between 6th Avenue and 16th Avenue will undergo something of a remodel starting Monday.
New curbs, gutters, sidewalks, lighting and other infrastructure will be put in.
The work is expected to last several months.
The city said River Road is heavily used to get to businesses and the Stanton Academy School District. During this time, traffic there will be reduced to one lane at times, and the city said some driving delays are likely.
