Spurs Lights Out in Game 3 Blowout Win

Posted: Updated:

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. -- Miami was known for its "Big Three" when it scored a coup by landing LeBron James and Chris Bosh to go alongside Dwyane Wade.  But Game 3 of Tuesday's NBA Finals was all about San Antonio big three's.  16 to be exact.

Danny Green scored 27 points and Gary Neal added 24 as the Spurs drained an NBA Finals record 16 3-pointers in a 113-77 drubbing of the Heat, giving San Antonio a 2-1 series lead.

Green was responsible for seven of of those 3's, while Neal knocked down six more.  Tim Duncan put in a workmanlike 12 points and 14 rebounds, helping San Antonio bounce back from a 19-point loss in Miami in Game 2.

The NBA's four-time MVP was held to 15 points on 7-of-21 shooting, as James missed 11 of his first 14 shot attempts from the field.  Game 4 of the best-of-seven series is Thursday in San Antonio.
