SPOKANE, Wash. - Law enforcement now has in their possession the vehicle of the man they believe shot and killed Fabian McBride Wednesday in Spokane in the 7000 block of North Atlantic, just outside the Spokane city limits. When detectives located the vehicle the suspect, 19-year-old Issiah Schauman, was not inside so the search for him continues. On Thursday friends and family stood by a makeshift memorial as they honored McBride, a father to five children.
The manager of a nearby apartment complex told us that the problems between the suspect and the victim began this weekend when Schauman broke into an apartment and stole two flat screen TV's from a house that Fabian was housesitting. Fabian saw him (Schauman) in front of the apartment Wednesday and that is when the murder occurred.
On Thursday his brother, Derrick Simpson, spoke with KHQ. "He was on his way to his kids, that was the most important thing in his life," Simpson said. "His momma' was very important to him. His brothers, his sisters, that is what he lived for."
>>>>Sheriff's Deputies say if you see Schauman, or know where he might be, contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

When deputies arrived, they observed several people trying to help a male victim who had been shot and was lying in the roadway.

>>>Anyone with information on the location of Schauman or his vehicle is urged to call 911 and should not attempt to make contact with him.
At this time, investigators do not believe this is a random incident.
