Yes, This Joe Jackson is Literally "Shoeless"

Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. -- When Joe Jackson was assigned to Spokane to play for the Indians, the "Shoeless" references were going to be inevitable.  So when the Rangers fifth-round pick had problems traveling to Spokane and the airline lost his luggage, the punchline was set up.  Upon arrival with his new team, Jackson told an Indians employee, "I don't even have my shoes."

And, yes, this Jackson is related to the legendary "Shoeless Joe Jackson."  As it turns out, this Joe and his great-great-great-uncle have more in common than just their last name.  Let's just hope his shoes arrive in time for Spokane's season opener Friday against the Everett AquaSox.
