Spokane Shooter Remains On The Run After Deadly Drive-by Shooting
SPOKANE, Wash. - On Wednesday afternoon just after 1245 pm., Spokane County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting in the 7000 block of North Atlantic.
When deputies arrived, they observed several people trying to help a male victim who had been shot and was lying in the roadway.
Witnesses stated the suspect pulled out a handgun, fired several shots and fled from the area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital but he did not survive his injuries.
Spokane County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes detectives and personnel from the Spokane County Forensic Unit have been called to the scene and are investigating the incident.
Detectives have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Issiah L. Schauman. At this time, he should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen driving a light colored 1986 Chrysler New Yorker 4-door, possibly gray or silver in color with Washington license plates AEE5144.
Anyone with information on the location of Schauman or his vehicle is urged to call 911 and should not attempt to make contact with him.
At this time, investigators do not believe this is a random incident.
