All Lady Pilots To Start Cross Country Plane Race in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. - 50 female piloted planes are arriving in Pasco right now. The 100 or so ladies manning the aircraft are gearing up for the 2013 Air Race Classic.

The 2,500 mile cross country races takes off from the Pasco Airport on Tuesday. Terry Carbonell and Ellen Herr took top honors in this race in 2010 and placed third last year.

"We've actually been on the road or in the air for two weeks and we're here now. Nice and relaxed and ready to go," said Carbonell.

"We're just looking forward to meeting with the community and I hope people come out and say hi to us because this is the point. Get out and see parts of the world we wouldn't otherwise see and meet some folks," said Herr.
