Strong Fever finish could attract 2014 group

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever stand just one win away from reaching their mid-season goal, evening out their record to 7-7. While the Fever will not make the playoffs this year, they believe a strong returning core and their second half momentum will make them an attractive spot for future free-agents next year.

"You know we have a great nucleus coming back and I think that'll be the biggest part of the recruiting process. If we get the main guys back, keep that nucleus together, it will probably be a little easier for Coach to go ahead and recruit more guys, guys that may help us out next season," running back Keithon Flemming said.

"But it's the other things, Teri Carr out owner makes sure these guys are in the best housing, we take care of these guys off the field within the rules and that make it very appealing to these guys," head coach Adam Shackleford added.
