PENDLETON, Ore. -- The deputy superintendent of the InterMountain Education Service District in Pendleton will become interim superintendent of the Douglas ESD in Roseburg, Ore., starting July 1.

Lasher was the director of the information technology department when he first arrived at IMESD. After 10 years, he then moved up into an administrative role as Chief Operations Officer, and then as Deputy Superintendent when the former Umatilla-Morrow ESD became IMESD in 2011.

During his time at the ESD, Lasher also began the entrepreneurial leg of IMESD, called InterMountain Initiatives, that has grown significantly over the past 15 years.

Lasher has also served as the Executive Director of the Oregon Small Schools Association for the past two years.
