YAKIMA, Wash.--Kids grabbed their fishing reels and headed out to the pond at Sarg Hubbard Park Saturday.
A program called "Catch A Special Thrill" also known as C.A.S.T, helps kids with disabilities and terminal illnesses enjoy a day soaking up the sun with their family and friends.
For kids like Shania Boyd, it's a day that she looks forward to all year long.
"It means pretty much everything to us cause it gets her extremely excited just thinking about it," said Shania's Aunt, Elizabeth Asdell.
Shania's family said they've been attending this event for at least six years.
Saturday's participants received fishing gear, a hat and a t-shirt.
