Dads Go Golfing On Father's Day

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.- With Sunday not only being Father's Day, but the final day of the U.S. open, many dads have golf on the brain.

At Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick they had a busy line up of tee times. With groups of four out the door every 8 minutes, today was a good opportunity for their business to flourish. Dads and their entire families took on the 18 holes even heading into the afternoon despite the heat...

"I saw a lot of gleam in the eyes of some of the dads around when they're going out there with their son or their daughter to play golf," said Joe Dubsky the resident golf pro at the course. "I think it's a very neat day."

Canyon Lakes offered special Father's Day rates and sales in their shop. They say weekends like Memorial Day are their most popular, but Father's Day brings out entire families.
