PASCO, Wash. - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is looking for an Idaho woman who went missing Sunday afternoon.

Police say Rashelle Klontz was last seen in the parking lot of Country Mercantile, off Highway 395 just north of Pasco, around 3:00 p.m.

Police say she had been visiting a friend in Hermiston, Oregon and was on her way back home to Sandpoint, Idaho, when she stopped at the store to eat around 10:30 a.m. Klontz's family reported being in contact with her up until about 12:15 p.m.

Police found Klontz's purse and cell phone inside of Country Mercantile. They also found a journal inside Klontz's Toyota Rav4 which was sitting in the store's parking lot. Police say entries from her journal suggest that she wanted to go hiking in the desert.

They do not suspect foul play at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at (509) 545-3501.
