Young Yakima Boys Make Court Appearance for Kidnapping

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.--Two young men suspected in a robbery and kidnapping over the weekend appeared in court Tuesday.

According to court documents, 17-year-old Adrian Gatlin and 21-year-old Guillermo Gomez went into a teenage girl's home and demanded that she retract her statements to the police about a previous assault. She had been beaten and robbed along South 9th Avenue and was able to identify her attackers, including Gatlin.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at her head while threatening her to change her story.

Police said they arrested three boys last night in Ellensburg, and they face charges of kidnapping and witness intimidation.

Bail for the two men is set at $500,000 each.
