Mariners Prevail In Extras

Updated:

Kendrys Morales hit a line-drive single off of shortstop Erick Aybar's glove in the 10th inning to bring home the go-ahead run and the Seattle Mariners topped the Angels 3-2 in Anaheim on Tuesday.

Kyle Seager scored from second on Morales' RBI single with two outs. Albert Pujols had tied the game in the eighth with a solo home run off Tom Wilhelmsen.

Charlie Furbush struck out Josh Hamilton on five pitches to record the last out of the ninth and was rewarded with his first win of the season. Yoervis Medina worked a perfect 10th inning for his first Major League save.

Raul Ibanez and Justin Smoak both hit solo home runs for the Mariners.
