WSU Football Adds Rutgers To Schedule

Updated:

The Washington State football team has added a two-game series with Rutgers.

The Cougars will host the Scarlet Knights at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on August 29, 2014 and will play at Rutgers on Sept. 12, 2015. The two teams have never faced each other.

Washington State's originally scheduled home-and-home with Wisconsin has been pushed back from 2014 and 2015 to 2022 and 2023.

"Adding two BCS opponents to those already on future nonconference schedules benefits our program and is sure to be appealing to our fans," athletic director Bill Moos said. "Our 2014 schedule also allows us to bring five quality Pac-12 games (Arizona, USC, Cal, Oregon and Washington) to Pullman to showcase our newly completed facilities."
